Working to preserve and protect the environment of our national treasure, the Thames, ecologist Dr Bob Eeles and Bachport Chair Ian Mason, filmed this morning by ITV Meridian, have been speaking about the proposed gravel extraction site and English Heritage’s recent decision to protect the Early Bronze Age round barrow cemetery on the site by awarding it Scheduled Monument Status, after recognition by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport of its rarity and national importance.
