BACHPORT: Actively campaigning to protect our local countryside

Burcot & Clifton Hampden for the Protection of the River Thames

Fundraising

Clifton Hampden Parish Council have asked Bachport to lead the efforts to have the proposed application for the quarry and concrete plant rejected.  We have a fantastic team of volunteers and our case is strong, but to make that case we need professional advice and a marketing campaign.  We will only have one opportunity to get the application rejected – if it is granted, we have no right of appeal.  So we must get it right first time.

Our updated target is £30,000 to pay for expert advice, marketing materials and administration.  We are also asking for pledges for an additional amount of £13,250 for a contingency fund to cover costs should the case go to public examination.

Bachport is asking for your financial support, through an immediate donation to fight the application when it comes, and a pledge for a future donation should the case go to public examination.  All funds will be held by Clifton Hampden Parish Council, and treated in confidence.  Unused funds will be returned.

To donate, download and fill in a Donation slip and then either hand to Chris or Pauline at the Clifton Hampden village shop, or post to Giles Baxter, Lower Town Farmhouse, High Street, Clifton Hampden, OX14 3EQ. Thank you.
