BACHPORT: Actively campaigning to protect our local countryside

Burcot & Clifton Hampden for the Protection of the River Thames

Sign our online PETITION

Bachport is a campaign group strongly opposing the development in Clifton Hampden of a 104-hectare gravel extraction pit and concrete processing plant on greenbelt land that is 80% floodplain, contains a Bronze Age monument and is located in an area with insufficient transport infrastructure to cope with lorries passing through the village every 6 minutes, 11 hours a day.

If you love the beauty of the English countryside surrounding an historic, quintessentially English, picture-postcard village, enjoy walking along the Thames footpath as people have done for the last several hundred years, appreciate cultural heritage and a wealth of archaeology, then sign up now to petition against this development. Or maybe you just want to drive through the village on your way to work, avoid delays caused by HGVs at the traffic lights or know that the bridge is open because flooding hasn’t got worse?

Join the campaign to protect your countryside by signing our online petition.
